WildBrew™ Sour Pitch is a high-performance, high-purity lactic acid bacterium, specially selected to reproducibly produce a wide variety of sour beers. It provides a clean and balanced flavor profile with citrus notes, typical of classic and modern sour beer styles.

When pitched under proper conditions, this bacterium is a powerful and easy-to-use method for acidifying a wort, such as in the brew kettle.

Styles brewed with this bacterium include, among others, Berliner Weisse, Gose, lambic-style, American Wild, and Sour IPA.

Aromas: Citrus/lemon, tart, acidic
Attenuation: Medium to high
Fermentation range: 30–40 °C
pH range: 3.2–3.5
