Tetra is a hop extract made from potassium salts of tetrahydroiso-alpha-acids. It enhances bitterness, foam retention, and flavor stability, while maintaining a clean and crisp beer profile.
Tetra is an aqueous solution concentrated at 9–10% potassium salts of tetrahydroiso-alpha-acids, derived from CO₂ hop extract. It is specially formulated to deliver intense bitterness (1.6x more than standard iso-alpha-acids), stable under UV exposure and free from undesirable "lightstruck" flavors.
It can be used as a partial or full replacement of hops during brewing, particularly for beers packaged in clear bottles or cans. Tetra significantly improves foam stability and lacing at low dosages (3–5 ppm), all while maintaining the original flavor balance of the beer.
Tetra should be added after fermentation and primary filtration, ideally before the final filtration. It is best injected undiluted using a positive displacement pump, or diluted with deionized water when necessary.
