FERMOLAGER Munich Heritage is an active dry bottom-fermenting yeast, perfect for traditional German-style lagers. It provides medium attenuation and medium-high flocculation, resulting in beers with a balanced malty backbone and a clean, smooth finish.
FERMOLAGER Munich Heritage is a Saccharomyces pastorianus strain from Munich, Bavaria, selected for fermenting German-style lager beers. It is particularly suitable for styles such as Munich Helles, German Pilsner, Märzen, Dunkel, Bock, Doppelbock, as well as a range of European-style lagers including Vienna, Bohemian Pilsner, and Scandinavian lagers.
This yeast produces beers with a clean and smooth mouthfeel, while leaving a well-balanced malty backbone. Levels of diacetyl, esters, sulphurs, and higher alcohols are low, allowing brewers to highlight the character of noble German and other European hop varieties.
